British Library Visit Write Up
BackYEAR 10 TRIP TO BRITISH LIBRARY
On 20th April 2026, our Year 10 students visited the British Library for an engaging educational experience. Travelling by bus and train, students showed excellent behaviour and confidence using London’s transport network.
During the visit, students took part in a creative writing session, drawing inspiration from the library’s atmosphere and architecture. Although they did not explore the King’s Library Tower directly, its presence supported imaginative thinking.
Students also viewed a range of significant items, including early Shakespeare publications and Beatles memorabilia, helping to bring literature and cultural history to life.
Outside in the piazza, students observed the Newton sculpture by Eduardo Paolozzi. One student chose to sketch the sculpture, showing strong observation and creativity.
We are proud of the students’ focus, creativity and conduct throughout this successful trip.
