School Council Impact Review – Spring

Back
April 8th 2026

Our School Council continues to play a vital role in shaping improvements across the school and ensuring that every student voice is heard.

Council members meet every half term, following a pre-agreed agenda that reflects key issues and ideas gathered from their tutor groups. This structured approach ensures that representatives bring meaningful feedback from across the school community. These views are then shared directly with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), allowing students to actively contribute to decision-making.

Importantly, the School Council does not just gather opinions—it drives change. Following each meeting, clear actions are agreed and implemented, leading to tangible improvements that benefit all students. This demonstrates a strong partnership between students and staff, and a shared commitment to continual school development.

Attached is the termly impact document, which highlights the excellent work of the School Council and the positive changes they have helped bring about. Their dedication and leadership continue to make Gaynes a better place for every student.
