Year 9 & 10 District Athletics

On Thursday 9^th July, students from Years 9 and 10 went to Hornchurch Stadium to compete in the borough athletics competition. The students competed in 100m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 1500m, 4x100 relay, shot put, discus, javelin, long jump, high jump and triple jump.

Congratulations to the following students who won a medal. Freddie (yr9) 2^nd in 1500m, Kamsi (yr9) 3^rd in javelin, Charlie (yr9) 3^rd in shot put, Jake (yr9) 3^rd in 300m, Bolaji (yr10) 3^rd in 300m and Rahmaan (yr10) finished 3^rd in 200m as well. 

All students showcased fantastic effort, resilience and behaviour especially due to the hot weather conditions. The PE department would like to say a massive well done to all students who competed. We hope to carry on with these successes through to next year!
