Message To Parents And Carers Re: Tue-Thursday Hot Weather
BackDear Parents and Carers,
Due to the forecast of exceptionally hot weather, students will be permitted to wear their PE kit to school on Tuesday 23 June, Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June 2026.
The approved PE kit consists of:

Gaynes navy polo shirt
-
Blue shorts
-
Trainers
No other alternatives will be accepted unless agreed by the school.
Students are welcome to wear their school uniform if they choose.
To help keep students safe and comfortable during the hot weather, we ask that they:
- Bring a refillable water bottle to school each day. Water fountains are available around the school for refilling.
- Wear sunscreen before arriving at school.
- Bring a sun hat for use during break and lunchtime.
In addition, students will be advised to avoid prolonged periods in direct sunlight wherever possible. PE lessons will be adapted to take account of the weather conditions.
To further reduce the risk of overheating, ball games will not be permitted during break and lunchtime on these days.
