CyberDay4Girls Workshop at IBM's Central London Headquarters

On Friday 24th November, 30 year 9 students took part in the CyberDay4Girls workshop at IBM's central London headquarters. The workshop promoted awareness of cybersecurity as a career option for teenage girls. Key sessions included students working collaboratively in groups creating a 'pitch' for clients, An AI demonstration using Spot, the dog-like robot created by Boston Dynamics. Spot can go anywhere a person can go and collect data more frequently and more accurately. Pupils also saw first-hand the recent developments in AI learning through a racing car simulation, as well as being shown and taught about the power of quantum computing. Students also took part in a session regarding ethical hacking and the importance of cybersecurity for national and multinational corporations around the world.
