Barclays Life Skills Exploring Strengths For Employment Workshop

Back
June 2nd 2026

On Monday 1st June, our Year 10 students took part in a Barclays LifeSkills workshop delivered by The Talent Foundry, with a focus on exploring their strengths for employment. They were supported by a Vice chairman from Barclays, who shared valuable insights from their own career journeys and how skills can be transferable in their industry.

Through a range of interactive activities, students developed their understanding of identifying skills, interests and personality traits and how this differs across different sectors across the UK and global markers.

Students were highly engaged throughout the session and asked thoughtful questions about topics such as salaries and bonuses, hybrid working, and how AI can be used to support and enhance individual strengths in the workplace.

This engaging and practical session was the final of a series of four workshops students have completed this year through the wider Barclays LifeSkills programme, supporting them in building essential skills for their future education and careers."
