YEAR SEVEN BLETCHLEY PARK TRIP
BackYear 7 students recently enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Bletchley Park, the famous home of British codebreaking during World War II. The visit gave students the opportunity to explore the important role Bletchley Park played in wartime intelligence, with a particular focus on the fascinating world of codebreaking.
During the trip, students took part in an interactive codebreaking workshop where they were able to see and use an original Enigma machine from World War II. This hands-on experience allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of how coded messages were created and deciphered during the war.
Students also learned about key historical figures, including Alan Turing, whose work at Bletchley Park helped shape the development of the modern-day computer. The visit provided a fantastic opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with real historical events and discoveries.
The trip was both enjoyable and inspiring, and students represented the school excellently throughout the day.
