GCSE FIELD TRIP TO EPPING FOREST
BackOur Year 11 Geography students recently visited Epping Forest as part of their GCSE Rivers fieldwork, where they had the chance to take their classroom learning outdoors and explore river processes in a real-world setting. Working in groups, they measured river depth, width, and velocity, while also observing changes in the channel and surrounding landscape. The trip not only helped them develop important skills in data collection and analysis but also gave them a deeper understanding of how rivers shape the environment over time. The students approached the day with great enthusiasm and teamwork, representing the school brilliantly and gaining valuable insights that will support their studies and future exams.
