University of Essex visit 24 th January

A group of 50 Year 10 pupils visited the University of Essex in Colchester for an experience day and workshops hosted by Make Happen. The pupils had various workshops about Post 18, including Why should they think about going to University?, What is student life really like?

The pupils were also given a campus tour which they really enjoyed. A few pupils were surprised about how much is available on campus. The University had a shopping centre, various restaurants, a cinema and the particular favourite, the state of the art Sports centre. (linked with Team GB).

A quick poll showed an increased number of pupils were enthused about University life and would consider studying at University.
