Gaynes played their first ever girls cricket match vs Sanders. Gaynes batted first and demonstrated great resilience and hand eye co-ordination. Posting a good score of 73 off 16 overs. Gaynes took to the field, Sanders started well scoring freely and at a consistent rate. The middle overs the run rate slowed down with some brilliant bowling from the Gaynes girls. Sanders continued to chip away at the score leaving 8 needed off the final over. Gaynes were able to keep it tight and Sanders fell short by 1 run. A great game played in great spirit. Well done to both sets of girls.

Jayden in Y7 ran the 100m in a record time of 11.87. This broke the Y7 and Y8 boys record. Well done Jayden and we here at Gyanes look forward to the rest of the athletics season and what you can achieve.
