May sports update

Well done to our students who made the Havering schools team. We had a number of successful students who will now compete against other schools in Essex at Chelmsford Stadium. A special mention to Aaliyah, Daragh and Malcolm.

Gaynes School took a number of pupils to Hornchurch Sports Centre for the Havering rowing competition. All students behaved perfectly and supported one another when racing. The level of performance was very high from the Gaynes pupils with some outstanding performances, resulting in some students getting picked to represent Havering at the London Youth Games. Stand out performances came from Roelof who finished first in the boys Y10 race and Viktor who also finished 1st in the Boys Y9 race. Well done to all who participated and good luck to those who made the team for the LYG this summer.

Gaynes have come to the end of their football season this year. Both our Y7 & 8 team and Y9 team made the semi-finals in the Havering competition. Both teams played fantastically well throughout the season but were both unfortunate in making it through to the final. This year has seen Gaynes compete against some very good teams and overcome them. The Y 7 & 8 team went unbeaten all year and the Y9 team only lost 1 game. Well done boys on this achievement and we look forward to building on this next season.
