Gaynes’ Got Talent Final

The last week of the first Autumn half-term saw the final of the school’s annual talent show.  Over 20 students originally auditioned in September, who were then whittled down to 12 performances.

To a busy audience, all acts performed to a high level, be it singing, dancing, poetry or drama.  The 4 judges (Miss Caers, Mr. Turner-Monk, Mr. Johnson and Christianah – our previous winner) then fed back comments to each (often to the disdain of the audience!).

For the first time ever, we decided to have an audience winner as well as a judges’ winner.  The unanimous winner from the audience was Farah in Year 8, who had sung Amy Winehouse’s Valerie with great gusto!

The judges’ panel then decided their winner, and opted for Jayma in Year 7, who performed an exceptional monologue from Alice in Wonderland.

Thanks to all who were involved in helping with the organisation of the event and on the night, including our judges.  Well done to all who were involved!
